Behind the Brand

Represent Clothing was founded in 2011 by brothers George and Mike Heaton in Manchester, England. What began as a college project for George, with just £150 and a passion for graphic design, soon turned into something much bigger. The brothers printed 25 t-shirts featuring George’s artwork and sold them to friends, operating out of their family’s shed. Represent’s first official collection, Ghost (FW13), marked a major turning point—shifting from printed blanks to fully designed, original garments. This transition showcased their commitment to unique design, quality, and creative independence. From selling tees locally to hosting pop-ups in New York and Paris, Represent grew organically through talent, drive, and high-profile moments like Justin Bieber wearing their pieces on tour. The journey began in Manchester and the movement hasn’t stopped since.
